An All-American 4th of July

Jul 2-4, Guntersville An All-American 4th of July 256-571-8011. Downtown and other locations--Celebrate the Year of Alabama Small Towns with an All-American 4th of July event that will include July 2: Cemetery ghost tours, and theater productions by Whole Backstage Community Theater (times TBA): July 3: Historic walking tour (10 a.m.); veteran's recognition at the courhouse (11 a.m.), parade and ribbon cutting for the newly renovated downtown (5 p.m), and a street party downtown with entertainment and food venues at Guntersville Harbor at 6 p.m.; July 4: Boat parade (2 p.m.), Community Church Service/Dinner on the Grounds at Civitan Park (6:30 p.m.), and performnces by area church choirs and local chorales followed by fireworks over beautiful Lake Guntersville (9 p.m.) Other activities include an antique car and farm show, quilt and photography exhibitions, library events and a cookoff.
